| Wild River Country wll not close or issue rain checks simply due to passing rain activity. During the summer months in Arkansas, passing rain showers and thunderstorms are to be expected on an almost daily basis. These rainy periods rarely last longer than 30-45 minutes, and then the sunshine returns.
Please note the following policies regarding weather:
- No pools or slides will close if only light rain is falling, as long as the lifeguard’s vision of the pool is not obscured and no lightning can be seen.
- If lightning can be detected within one (1) mile of the park, all aquatic activities will be closed and all guests required to exit pools and slide complexes. All other activities will remain open.
- Rain checks may be issued only after all aquatic activities have been closed for longer than one (1) consecutive hour. The dscision to issue rain checks rests solely with the manager on duty, and no other employees.
If rainy weather is experienced, please listen for announcements concerning the above policies. Changing weather is part of our life in Arkansas. Like they say, “If you don’t like it, wait a while, and it will change!”
