Lifeguard
Lifeguards work under the direct supervision of the Aquatic Safety Supervisor and Leads. Job duties include managing the aquatic attractions, maintaining a clean work environment, administering first aid to guests and monitoring and ensuring the safety of all guests in the park. All lifeguard applicants must be 15 by the time they complete training due to Red Cross requirements. Training for lifeguards will be provided through Wild River Country; therefore, prior training is not required.
Food Service Host/Hostess
Food Service Hosts are under the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor and Leads. They are responsible for knowledge of the menu, running the cash registers in the Cookhouse, and placing food orders for our guests. Also, they are responsible for the cleanliness of the cookhouse area and the park in general.
Food Service Kitchen Staff
Food Service Kitchen Staff are under the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor and Leads. Cooks are responsible for producing high quality food for our guests. This includes operating and cleaning equipment, handling food, and ensuring food quality and consistency. Production employees are responsible for kitchen and food preparation and maintaining a clean work environment. Busboys are responsible for maintaining a clean and friendly environment in all food service areas and throughout the park. These employees are also responsible for assuring all stands are well maintained and ready for operation.
Yarnells Ice Cream
Food Service Yarnells staff members are under the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor and Leads. Yarnells employees are responsible for running the Yarnells Ice Cream Stand. They are responsible for knowing the menu, preparing menu items, cash handling, maintaining a clean work environment and maintaining the equipment.
Satellite Stand
Food Service Satellite Stand workers are under the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor and Leads. These employees are responsible for working in the satellite stands in the park: Pizza Shack, Oasis and Dippin Dots. Their duties include cash handling, knowledge of the menu, working a cash register, preparing menu items, maintaining equipment and keeping a clean work environment.
Ticket Booth
Ticket Booth employees work in the Admissions department under the supervision of the Admissions Supervisor and Leads. Ticket Booth employees are responsible for selling admission tickets and season passes to customers. These employees work a register and handle large amounts of money throughout the day. They are also responsible for knowing the different admission prices and for maintaining good customer service and a clean work environment. Ticket Booth employees generally work inside the ticket booth building; however, at times they are asked to fill in for other positions throughout the park.
Admissions Rotation Employees
The Admissions Rotation employees are responsible for working the different Admissions stands in the park. These areas include Turnstile, Rafts, Lockers, and Gift Shop. Employees working turnstile are responsible for keeping accurate admission counts, knowledge of different entry tickets, wristbands, etc, and preventing theft of and fraudulent use of season passes and admission specials. Employees working Rafts are responsible for managing the Raft Rental Kiosk. They will need to work a register, distribute tubes and life vests, keep records for returned tubes and maintain a clean work environment. Employees working Lockers are responsible for managing the Locker Rental Area. They will need to work a register, distribute locker keys, and maintain a clean work environment. Gift Shop employees are responsible for keeping the Gift Shop organized, a knowledge of retail items, maintenance of a clean work environment, minimizing theft opportunities and running a register. The Gift Shop employees use a POS system, which streamlines the purchasing process.
Park Services Staff
Park Services staff members perform miscellaneous maintenance duties throughout the park. They are under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager and Leads. Duties include landscaping, light construction, cleaning the employee break room, maintaining the parks cleanliness and managing miscellaneous park issues throughout the day. Park Services staff members are responsible for maintaining a presentable and clean environment for our guests.
Birthday/Daycare Staff
The Birthday/Daycare Staff are under the direct supervision of the Admissions Supervisor and Leads. Birthday/Daycare staff members are responsible for presenting our guests with a pleasant birthday party and daycare outing experience. Their duties include preparing the Birthday deck and Daycare area for parties, serving the guests, and keeping their areas clean.
Season Pass Staff
The Season Pass Staff are responsible for processing Season Pass orders throughout the summer. They work under the direct supervision of the Admissions Supervisor and Leads. Some responsibilities of this job are data entry, photo capture, customer service and problem solving. All employees working in this department should have good computer skills and prior experience with data entry.
Maintenance Staff
The Maintenance Staff are responsible for maintaining the parks equipment and cleanliness. Job duties vary and include but are not limited to construction, landscaping, monitoring chemical levels, maintaining a clean work environment and monitoring cleanliness on the grounds. The maintenance staff members work under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager.
Office Staff
The Office Staff work in the main office as receptionists. As is typical for a receptionist, job duties vary as needed. The office staff will be expected to fill in for other departments if need arises. The Office staff work under the direct supervision of the Office Manager.
First Aid Staff
The First Aid Staff are responsible for monitoring guest safety and managing first aid emergencies at the park. The First Aid staff typically spend most of their time in the park performing preventative safety checks and handling guest service issues concerning safety. The First Aid staff will handle a myriad of situations throughout the summer. The First Aid staff work under the direct supervision of the First Aid Supervisor. All First Aid Staff members are required to be EMT certified and must possess prior medical (on the job) experience.
